Wendy Dekker-Garms is driven to assist her clients in developing useful strategies regarding intellectual property. Based on the experience of working many years as a patent attorney in several offices, ranging from small to large, she is very well capable of advising on all aspects of patents, designs and trademarks.
Wendy’s expertise is in the field of mechanical engineering and constructional engineering. She graduated from the Eindhoven University of Technology in mechanical engineering, specialising in automotive technology. She also obtained a certificate from the business administration department.
In 1999, Wendy started her career in the field of intellectual property. In 2002, after having passed all of the required exams, she obtained her registrations as Dutch and European patent attorney.
Wendy is active as a tutor at the Dutch training institute for patent attorneys. In this function, she teaches trainees how to draft and amend patent applications and how to reply to objections raised by official authorities. Her work as a tutor puts her in a position for passing on both her passion about intellectual property to future colleague attorneys.
